Lisa opened her mouth to speak when the door to the bedroom swung open and Nicole’s twin, Donald, stood in the doorway. “Lisa…? What on earth are you wearing?”
She rolled her eyes and walked up to him. “Shut up, Donald,” she said, shutting the door in his face.
Nicole came to her senses. “Okay, uh, I think I believe that you’re not, er, Lisa. She keeps talking incessantly about Animal Crossing Bob anyway, and unless you’re somehow secretly typing that all out to me, then you must be… not her.”
“Bob?!” Lisa exclaimed. “I love Bob!” she laughed with a crooked grin.
“Well, you’re right! That’s not me. That’s past me. Wow, I wish I could meet myself. Wouldn’t that screw up the space time continuum blah blah blah, hahah–”
“No! Not blah blah, Lisa! Not blah blah! You’re an imposter from the… the future! And you should leave! You’re, um, messing everything up.”
“Whoa, past Nicole is mean.”
“I’m not past Nicole!” she exclaimed, dragging her fingers through her hair. “This is right now. You’re here, I’m here, and this is present day.”
“Well, noooo,” she drew out, “because that’s dumb.”
